Description
Set before the Trojan War, this sweeping historical novel reimagines the legendary encounter between Theseus and the Amazons, a fierce warrior society living beyond the borders of the emerging Greek world. When the Amazon queen Antiope falls in love with Theseus and follows him to Athens, her departure ignites a struggle driven by honor, loyalty, and the collision of two radically different cultures. Through interwoven recollections, the story explores the bonds between men and women, the costs of freedom and civilization, and the consuming force of love amid the chaos of war. Vividly martial and richly atmospheric, it brings mythic antiquity to life with the immediacy of a war epic.
