Tananarive Due is an American author and educator who writes horror and speculative fiction, including The Reformatory, The Good House, and My Soul to Keep. She is also a film historian with expertise in Black horror, and she teaches Black Horror and Afrofuturism at UCLA. With her mother, civil rights activist Patricia Stephens Due, she co-wrote the memoir Freedom in the Family. Her novel The Reformatory won the Bram Stoker Award and several other prizes.
