Description
In May 1944, a shipwrecked American colonel reaches Nazi-occupied Jersey carrying knowledge that could compromise the coming Allied invasion of Normandy. British operative Harry Martineau is sent behind enemy lines, where he must assume the identity of a Nazi officer to locate the colonel—and determine whether he can be rescued or must be silenced. Set against the mounting tension of D-Day, this gripping World War II thriller explores espionage, deception, loyalty, and the brutal moral compromises of covert war. With its fast-paced intrigue and high-stakes atmosphere, it showcases Jack Higgins’s talent for edge-of-your-seat military adventure.
