Description

Gilda, a young woman consumed by anxiety and a constant awareness of mortality, finds herself in an unlikely position: receptionist at a Catholic church. To complicate matters, she's posing as a heterosexual woman in a faith she doesn't adhere to, all while grappling with her own fragile mental state. When she becomes fixated on the mysterious circumstances surrounding her predecessor's departure, Gilda is drawn into a murder investigation that forces her to confront her deepest fears and the precariousness of her own existence. This darkly humorous and poignant novel explores themes of identity, faith, and the universal human experience of confronting death.
