Eleven-year-old Theodosia Throckmorton is an expert at detecting ancient Egyptian magic—and removing dangerous curses. When mummies begin disappearing from museums and private collections across London, suspicion falls on her archaeologist father, forcing Theodosia to investigate while continuing her battle against the sinister Serpents of Chaos. Between evading a succession of governesses and navigating a perilous supernatural mystery, she must draw on her courage, cleverness, and knowledge of Egyptology to uncover the truth. This lively historical fantasy blends adventure, humor, and Egyptian mythology in a thrilling tale of family loyalty and resourcefulness.
