Description
When novelist Owen Quine vanishes, his wife enlists private investigator Cormoran Strike to bring him home, suspecting he's merely gone off on one of his infamous retreats. However, Strike's investigation quickly uncovers a far more sinister truth: Quine has just finished a manuscript filled with venomous portrayals of his acquaintances, creating a multitude of potential motives for his murder. As Quine is discovered brutally slain under disturbing circumstances, Strike and his assistant Robin Ellacott must race against time to unmask a killer whose methods are as unique as their rage.
