Fox Creek

Mystery Detective Fiction Psychological Thriller

Description

Retired lawman Cork O’Connor is running a quiet diner and taking on occasional investigative work when a mysterious man asks him to find his missing wife. The case draws Cork into the remote Northwoods, where Henry Meloux—an ancient Ojibwe healer guided by a troubling vision—senses that forces larger than a simple disappearance are at work. As Cork follows a trail shaped by secrecy, violence, and long-held traditions, he must rely on hard-won instincts while confronting the enduring power of family, community, and the land. Richly atmospheric and steeped in Ojibwe culture, this gripping mystery combines wilderness suspense with a deeply human exploration of loyalty, belief, and redemption.
