Not a Drill

Description

While hitching through the remote forests of Maine, Jack Reacher expects little more than a quiet hike and a hot meal—but the wilderness soon takes on a far more dangerous edge. When a trail is abruptly closed and military police descend on the nearby town, Reacher begins questioning whether the emergency is merely a training exercise or something much more serious. With its blend of sharp observation, escalating suspense, and tightly controlled action, this fast-paced short story delivers the resourceful drifter at his most compelling. The volume also includes a preview of the forthcoming Reacher novel *Personal*.
