Description
When two Kentucky Derby favorites are struck by a rare illness and a leading trainer is murdered, British Horseracing Authority investigator Jeff Hinkley is seconded to the U.S. agency charged with uncovering corruption in sport. With the Triple Crown races unfolding against a relentless deadline, Jeff goes undercover as an Irish groom at Belmont Park, determined to expose the mole sabotaging drug raids and protecting a lucrative criminal operation. As the Belmont Stakes approaches, he finds himself caught between law enforcement and ruthless conspirators who will stop at nothing to control the world’s most coveted racing prize. Combining racetrack expertise, undercover suspense, and a tightly ticking-clock plot, this thriller continues the acclaimed racing tradition associated with the Francis name.
