Description
Dr. Elwin Ransom, a Cambridge philologist, finds himself unwillingly transported from Earth to the alien world of Malacandra, known to us as Mars. His abductors, driven by greed, intend to exploit the planet's resources and offer Ransom as a sacrifice to its inhabitants. On this journey, Ransom learns that Earth is known throughout the cosmos as the 'silent planet,' a place shrouded in a dark history that has isolated it from the rest of the universe. This profound encounter challenges his understanding of humanity, faith, and the vastness of creation, setting the stage for a cosmic drama of immense spiritual and philosophical weight.
