Description
In August 1943, OSS operative Cletus Frade is handed an assignment that may be more dangerous than any battlefield mission: persuading a fiercely patriotic German officer to betray the Reich. After engineering the officer’s escape from an American prisoner-of-war camp, Frade must navigate suspicion, shifting loyalties, and the lethal machinery of wartime intelligence. As the mission unfolds, courage and honor take on complicated new meanings, testing the limits of duty and trust. Set against the global upheaval of World War II, this fast-paced espionage novel combines military intrigue, political maneuvering, and richly drawn characters.
