Description
Martin Terrier, a professional assassin, yearns for a quiet life and marriage to his childhood sweetheart, believing his dangerous profession was merely a stepping stone to this dream. However, his employers have other plans, refusing to let him leave the life he desperately wants to escape. Forced back into the violent world he sought to abandon, Terrier finds himself in a desperate fight for survival against the very organization that shaped him. This gripping novel is a masterclass in taut plotting and corrosive satire, dissecting societal illusions with the same brutal efficiency as its protagonist dispatches his targets.
