Description
In the aftermath of the cataclysmic events of *The Unremembered*, Tahn Junell and his companions struggle to understand how they—and the world—have been changed. As monsters breach the magical Veil separating humanity from the wasteland of the Bourne, Tahn pursues an unconventional solution: uncovering the knowledge needed to prevent war before it begins. Meanwhile, Mira undertakes a perilous journey to cleanse herself of the stain left by Tahn’s actions, seeking help from a distant race of mysterious handsingers. Blending epic fantasy with questions of power, responsibility, morality, and the consequences of good intentions, the novel explores the difficult choices that can shape—and imperil—an entire world.
