As their shared labor deepens, the boy, whose own father vanished due to political dissent, finds himself increasingly drawn to a captivating red-haired actress from a traveling theater troupe. This alluring encounter, however, leads to a tragic accident, prompting the boy's flight and a lifelong quest for truth. Years later, he must confront his past to uncover the mystery of the woman and the events that irrevocably shaped his life, exploring themes of family, tradition, and the clash between East and West.
