Description
After her grandmother’s death, Marisol Ferrera travels from Miami to Havana to scatter her ashes and uncover the family history shaped by the Cuban Revolution. There, her grandmother’s long-hidden story unfolds alongside Marisol’s own journey through a city marked by political upheaval, cultural memory, and enduring loss. Moving between 1958 Havana and the present day, the novel explores forbidden love, exile, family loyalty, and the complicated meaning of home. Richly atmospheric and emotionally resonant, it offers a sweeping portrait of Cuba and the generations forever changed by its history.
