Description
In the kingdom of Lur, magic is a privilege of the ruling Doranen, a harsh law forbidding its use by the native Olken population, punishable by death. Centuries after fleeing a devastating war, the Doranen maintain control, but a prophecy speaks of an Innocent Mage who will save Lur from impending destruction. Unbeknownst to Asher, a stable hand with dreams of a better life, he is the subject of intense observation by those who secretly preserve the Olken's forbidden magic. As destiny calls, Asher's world is irrevocably altered, thrusting him into a role he never imagined and a conflict that will determine the fate of the kingdom.
