Description

In this sweeping epic of the American West, former Texas Rangers Gus McCrae and Woodrow Call embark on a perilous cattle drive from the dusty plains of Texas to the rugged landscapes of Montana. Their journey is fraught with danger, testing the bonds of friendship, the limits of endurance, and the very definition of survival in a world rapidly changing. As they face outlaws, harsh elements, and the ghosts of their past, the men confront profound questions of duty, love, and loss. Larry McMurtry masterfully crafts a timeless narrative that explores the longing for purpose and the bittersweet cost of dreams in a frontier world on the brink of passing.

This is a long book but I didn’t feel that any of the story was unnecessary, all the details helped to round out the characters and the adventures they had. I enjoyed it much more than I had expected
