Description
Kinsey Millhone finds herself entangled in a dangerous game when a seemingly simple delivery job turns into a web of deceit and murder. Hired to deliver a substantial sum of money to a teenager, Kinsey's instincts scream that something is amiss, but the lure of a much-needed paycheck overrides her caution. When the client vanishes and his check bounces, Kinsey realizes she's been duped by a man with a troubled past and powerful enemies. The situation escalates dramatically when the man turns up dead, and Kinsey, convinced it's murder, embarks on a quest for justice for a victim no one else seems to mourn.
