King of the Murgos

Fantasy Epic Fantasy High Fantasy Adventure Fiction

Description

Garion and Ce'nedra press forward on their desperate quest to rescue their stolen infant son from the enigmatic Zandramas, accompanied by the immortal sorcerer Belgarath, his powerful daughter Polgara, and the cunning Drasnian rogue Silk. Their perilous journey carries them through treacherous swamps ruled by the serpentine Snake-Queen and into the sinister kingdom of the Murgos, where dark rituals and human sacrifice still honor the dead god Torak. As the party ventures deeper into increasingly forbidding lands, they discover that their personal mission masks a far greater threat—one that endangers not merely themselves, but the fate of all mankind. With high stakes, exotic locales, and the clash between ancient powers and mortal courage, this second installment of The Malloreon deepens the epic scope of David Eddings' sprawling fantasy saga. The search for one child becomes a race against destiny itself.
