Description
When the animals of Manor Farm rebel against their human master, they envision a utopia where all creatures live as equals, free from human tyranny. Led by the pigs—particularly the idealistic Snowball and the ruthless Napoleon—the animals establish their own society based on the principles of Animalism. However, as years pass, Napoleon consolidates power through manipulation and violence, gradually corrupting the farm's original ideals and transforming it into a dictatorship as oppressive as the human rule it replaced. Through this darkly satirical allegory, Orwell masterfully explores how revolutionary movements can be betrayed from within, and how power corrupts even the most noble intentions. A timeless political fable that remains strikingly relevant, Animal Farm is a profound meditation on tyranny, propaganda, and the eternal struggle between freedom and oppression.
