Description

In the tumultuous year of 1810, Captain Horatio Hornblower assumes command of his first ship of the line, the formidable HMS Sutherland. Despite the vessel's less-than-ideal condition and a crew composed largely of inexperienced recruits, Hornblower must prepare his ship for a critical mission to the blockaded coast of Catalonia. Facing daring raids against French forces, Hornblower's exceptional seamanship and leadership will be tested as he navigates treacherous waters and strives for victory.
