Description
Linus Baker, a diligent caseworker for magical youth, is assigned a highly unusual and potentially world-ending case: to investigate an orphanage housing six uniquely powerful and dangerous children. As he delves into their lives and the secrets of their enigmatic caretaker, Arthur Parnassus, Linus finds his by-the-book world turned upside down. This enchanting tale explores themes of found family, prejudice, and the courage it takes to protect those you love, even when the world fears them. It's a heartwarming story about discovering where you truly belong and the profound bonds that can form in the most unexpected circumstances.

As much as I love this book, I'm changing my rating due to learning the inspiration behind it being real-life events (Canada's Sixties Scoop) that should not have been made light of and used for a fiction story. (Other reviews posted on here have more in-depth information about it all that speak more concisely than me.)
