Description
Set in thirteenth-century Wales, this sweeping historical novel follows Prince Llewelyn ap Gruffydd as he struggles to preserve his homeland’s independence against the growing power of England. Amid political intrigue, rebellion, shifting loyalties, and the brutality of medieval warfare, Llewelyn’s fight is intertwined with his deeply felt love for Eleanor de Montfort. Spanning the final years of an independent Wales, the novel explores courage, sovereignty, dynastic ambition, and the personal costs of resistance. Meticulously researched and richly atmospheric, it brings a pivotal chapter of Welsh history vividly to life.
