Thich Nhat Hanh was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, peace activist and teacher who founded the Plum Village Tradition and became known as the father of mindfulness. His books include Peace Is Every Step, which shows how to find calm in everyday moments, and The Miracle of Mindfulness, an introduction to meditation. He coined the term "engaged Buddhism" in Vietnam: Lotus in a Sea of Fire, and he died in 2022 at Từ Hiếu Temple near Huế, where he had returned in 2018.
