Description
In a future where genetic engineering blurs the lines between species, a team of enhanced canine soldiers is deployed into a brutal conflict. Seen through the eyes of Rex, one of these formidable creatures, the narrative questions the very nature of warfare and morality, leaving the reader to question who the true enemy is. This thought-provoking story delves into the emotional toll of combat and the complex relationship between humanity and its creations, exploring the potential consequences when scientific advancement outpaces ethical consideration. Adrian Tchaikovsky masterfully crafts a narrative that is both action-packed and deeply moving, bringing his unique animal protagonists to life with startling realism.
