Description
After a devastating solar storm cripples America’s power grid, the nation’s survivors face a new threat: a tyrannical president determined to consolidate control over the ruins. The crew and passengers of the Pecos Trader and the defenders of Fort Box, North Carolina, stand among the last pockets of resistance against a corrupt administration. Their hopes rise when Simon Tremble, the final lawmaker beyond the president’s grasp, emerges from hiding—but opposing a regime built on fear will demand more than courage. This tense post-apocalyptic political thriller explores loyalty, freedom, leadership, and the promises people make when civilization hangs in the balance.
