The War with Mr. Wizzle

Contemporary Fiction Coming of Age Satire

Description

At Macdonald Hall, Headmaster Sturgeon’s uneasy school board has brought in Walter C. Wizzle, a meddling administrator determined to modernize the institution with his all-powerful computer—or, in the updated edition, an ambitious software program. When Wizzle’s schemes threaten the school’s traditions and daily life, irrepressible students Bruno Walton and Boots O’Neal launch a comic campaign of resistance. Their battle pits student ingenuity and loyalty against misguided technology and bureaucracy, delivering the fast-paced pranks, clever plans, and schoolboy chaos that define this beloved series installment.
