Description
Prince Myshkin, a man of profound innocence and Christ-like virtue, returns to Russia after a period of convalescence, only to be drawn into the complex and often destructive emotional lives of those around him. He becomes entangled in a passionate love triangle involving the beautiful but tormented Nastasya Filippovna and the proud, idealistic Aglaia Yepanchina, both of whom are also pursued by the materialistic Ganya Ivolgin. As Myshkin navigates this treacherous social landscape with his unwavering honesty and compassion, he confronts the stark realities of human passion, greed, and moral compromise. Dostoyevsky masterfully explores themes of faith, suffering, and the devastating consequences of idealism in a corrupt world, questioning whether goodness can truly triumph in the face of societal decay.
