The murderous Rapscallion army marches toward the peaceful Abbey of Redwall, seeking vengeance after a devastating defeat at the paws of Lady Cregga Rose Eyes. To protect their beloved home, the elite fighting unit known as the Long Patrol—a fearless band of warrior hares—is called to intercept the invading forces in a desperate bid to draw them away from the Abbey. Young Tammo, a skilled swordsman with everything to prove, finds himself thrust into the forefront of one of the most ferocious battles Redwall has ever witnessed. In this thrilling installment of the beloved Redwall saga, Jacques masterfully weaves together absorbing action, richly drawn characters, and vivid world-building to create an unforgettable tale of courage, honor, and the price of defending one's home. Prepare for an epic clash where brave warriors must stand ready to fight to the death.
