Description
The Others—an ancient race of supernatural beings sworn to either the Dark or the Light—have maintained a precarious thousand-year truce that keeps our world in balance. When a renegade Other steals a legendary spell-book of immense power and threatens to unleash chaos upon the entire earth, the opposing forces of the Night Watch and Day Watch must set aside their eternal conflict to stop him. Anton, the protagonist from the first book, finds himself racing against time when the culprit is revealed to be his own trusted partner, forcing him to confront both personal betrayal and an apocalyptic threat. In Lukyanenko's richly layered world where magic and reality intertwine across multiple planes of existence, nothing is as it appears, and the stakes have never been higher. This gripping sequel deepens the mythology of one of Russia's most celebrated science fiction series, blending fantasy, supernatural intrigue, and high-stakes action into an unforgettable tale.
