Clayton M. Christensen was an American academic and business consultant best known for developing the theory of disruptive innovation. He introduced the idea in his 1997 book The Innovator's Dilemma, and later wrote Competing Against Luck, Disrupting Class, and How Will You Measure Your Life? He was the Kim B. Clark Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, co-founded Innosight, a management consulting and investment firm focused on innovation, and was a leader and writer in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died in January 2020.
