Karl Ove Knausgård is a Norwegian author best known for My Struggle, a series of six autobiographical novels that made him known worldwide. Since completing that series in 2011, he has written the Seasons Quartet, another autobiographical sequence, along with the Morning Star novels, which begin with The Morning Star. He has also written a critical work on the art of Edvard Munch. His awards include the Brage Prize in 2009, the Jerusalem Prize in 2017 and the Swedish Academy Nordic Prize in 2019.
