Description
In the volatile aftermath of Iran’s revolution, KGB officer Vladimir Kuzichkin—codenamed “Redwood”—makes a desperate approach to British intelligence, offering secrets that could alter the balance of the Cold War. As Soviet plans threaten to destabilize the fledgling regime and the possibility of nuclear confrontation looms, MI6 officer Ian McCredie must navigate Tehran’s treacherous streets and devise an escape for a man hunted by both the KGB and Iranian security forces. Drawing on previously unseen archival material and interviews with those involved, this gripping true-life thriller explores courage, loyalty, betrayal, marriage, and the unlikely bonds forged between enemies. With vivid narrative drive and meticulous historical insight, it reveals how one double agent’s decision had consequences far beyond his own survival.
