Now & Then

Description

In this seventh Jesse Stone mystery, the police chief of Paradise, Massachusetts, confronts a troubling case when a criminal from the past returns and bodies begin washing ashore during the town’s high-profile Race Week. As Stone trades sharp banter with deputies Suitcase Simpson and Molly Crane, he must balance the demands of the investigation with his ongoing struggle for sobriety and the complications of his relationship with his ex-wife, Jenn. Combining taut police procedural suspense, dry wit, and nuanced character study, the novel explores guilt, resilience, loyalty, and the difficult work of confronting the past without sacrificing Parker’s signature voice.
