Robert B. Parker

Robert B. Parker was an American writer of mystery and detective fiction, best known for the forty Spenser novels, which include Early Autumn and Looking for Rachel Wallace. He also wrote nine Jesse Stone novels, among them Sea Change, about a Los Angeles police officer who moves to a small New England town, plus six Sunny Randall books and four Westerns. His works draw on deep knowledge of the Boston area, and ABC developed the character of Spenser into the mid-1980s series Spenser: For Hire. Parker died in 2010, and other authors have since written authorized continuations of his work.
